It’s been a while hasn’t it? We are so excited to share with you all of the new things happening here at GLAA. First things first, let me tell you a little about myself since you’ll be hearing from me weekly. My name is Stephanie, but most of my friends call me Steph. This is my first year at GLAA, and I’m a Sophomore. I have a pretty fresh pair of eyes here, and I’m excited to tell you all about it. I really like writing poetry, playing sports, and painting. Now that you know me and we’re best buds, we can continue.
Where do we start? There are so many things I could write about…how we’ve responded to the recent, but never ending pandemic, how we’ve reacted to the things happening around us in the world, or how good the café food has been recently. I hope to tackle these and other pressing issues, and I hope you’ll be with me along the way.
First things first. I’m sure you’re curious about how COVID has affected us here at GLAA. God has really blessed our school with fast adapters and amazing faculty. Our staff spent so much time trying to make this new school year as safe and comfortable as possible (it’s working). All of us here at GLAA wear our masks everywhere, with the exception of eating really good food at the café. We disinfect surfaces constantly, and have hand sanitizing stations set up pretty much everywhere you turn. Although we closed for part of the recent shut down in November, we bounced back even stronger. So far this semester, we are healthy and thriving.
Every day here at GLAA is full of laughter and adventure. Our intention for this blog is to bring you along and to show you a little bit about what life is like on the inside. Even if you don’t attend GLAA, (yet) we hope you enjoy all of our stories to come. Every post will include photos at the bottom courtesy of our yearbook editor, Aubriel.
Make sure to stay updated with our events, daily chapel livestreams, and community outreach. We are available on Youtube, Instagram, and Facebook. If that’s not enough, you can find out even more information about the school at glaa.net.
Have a fantastic week, and we can’t wait to see you soon. Don’t be afraid to reach out, comment, and share!

I’m so excited about this blog! This is my sons first year there. He’s a freshman. I’ve really struggled not being able to visit and spend time getting to know campus and build relationships with all of you. Hearing what’s going on and seeing pictures will definitely make me feel more connected. Thank you!!
